Renters say new B.C. legislation passing on costs for apartment building repairs is ‘sloppy’

I believe a key point missed here is that when the owner applies for the additional rent increase and pays the $300 filing fee, the RTB needs to approve it and the tenants are contacted by the RTB to verify the repairs before it can serve and enforced. Therefore, it would be a waste of due process to dispute it with the RTB. Has anyone filed an additional rent increase and got it approved?
