Canadian Households See A Big Drop In Real Wages Ahead: Bank of Canada

When I go by Costco, I see the parking lot full and cars waiting for a spot. Inside it’s packed with people shopping and filling up their shopping carts. At the same time, the news reports real wages and the demand for durable goods are declining. What am I missing here? Is Costco a poor economic indicator?
