How concerned should landlords be with this key finding from the Angus Reid Institute poll that reports over 30% worry about a possible job loss?! “At least two in five in Alberta, B.C., Saskatchewan, and Manitoba said they were worried someone in their household could lose a job because of the economy.” I find this sentiment concerning, especially, when the headlines report a shortage of workers and the economy is recovering. Job stability and income are critical components of our tenant screening process as it significantly affects the ability to pay the rent if one loses their job.
